Zzzzzzzzz.....

I have been sleeping a lot this week. Every day when I haven't had to be somewhere in the morning (so that would be Tuesday, Thursday and Friday), I've come home from taking the May Queen to school and crawled back into bed for between a 3 and 4 hour nap. It's glorious, in a lot of ways, but I'm not getting much done. Clearly, my body needs it. I've been sick for over 4 weeks now, and I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. My show opens tonight. Maybe next week I'll be able to get back to normal. Anyhow... that's why I haven't been around much. I've been spending a lot of time with my pillow.

Reminder: Monday's Mission is to write a post in the style of an award acceptance speech. Have fun!

I hope the sleep does you good. I put my kids to bed at 7:30 the other night and decided to lay down "just for a minute" and the next thing I remember was 7 AM. It felt goooood.

Feel better!

You are wise to listen to your body. You need recoup time. Now get off the computer and go back to bed! ;)
Feel better soon!

Hope you feel better soon. I've been sleeping away the days myself and wondering when I'll be less sick and tired.

Hope you are feeling better soon! Eventually our bodies will make us stop if we don't do it voluntarily. Glad you are listening to your body. :)

Take care of yourself -- spend lots more time with your pillow this weekend --- and feel better soon.

Yes, I know how you feel - whenever I sit down, I wake up 15 minutes later from my little unplanned nap.

I know what you mean! I wish I was a bear and could just sleep the winter off. Good for you...

Ugh! I hope this sleep fest gets rid of the illness once and for all.

We've been batting around the same illnesses for a few weeks now. I need a day in bed, but that would be when, exactly?

Ack, I wish I could sleep like that!!!!

How was your show?

Take good care and feel better! Four weeks seems like a really long time - have you checked out a doctor again?

I hope opening went well.

Take as many naps as you can. They are rare and fabulous things. lol

Enjoy the naps. I am 100% jealous!

I hope you can get the sleep you need. You're right - when we're sick, our body is giving us an ultimatum - give me what I need or I'll quit!

My danger time is from 1 to 2 PM. I blog to keep from falling asleep -- because if I have a '15 minute nap' I'm down for hours and hours. And two boys and one dog left unattended for that long spells disaster.

Well, I hope that you won't be needing your pillow so much in the future!

Get better soon!

I'll echo what others have said so well--listening to your body is the best thing you can do for it! Good luck with opening night!

This type of illness is hitting the whole freaking country.

It takes WEEKS to get over it. I had it, my husband had it...They think that it is a different viral strain similar to the flu and it.is.horrible.

I hope your show kicks some tail!
