I'm puzzled, I thought carnival begins on November 11th, at least it does here.

Happy Carnival! I've been to New Orleans twice but never during the big celebration. We were there for St. Patricks day last year. We were so excited for the big parade. We waited outside the church (the famous one in the French Quarter)for it to begin. At noon some gents in tuxedo's and ladies in fancy dress came out and walked down the street. They waved, through cabbages and potatoes and gave an occasional kiss to a spectator. It was interesting to say the least. I must admit we chuckled, having never seen anything like it.

man, oh Man, I better do this before I get too old and saggy....hehe
